ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Adam Faler. I was raised here in Indianapolis and first picked up the guitar at eight years old when my third grade teacher asked if anybody had a guitar for a school play. From there, I became more and more involved with music. I started taking weekly lessons, joined the North Central High School jazz ensemble, started playing with other bands outside of school, and eventually, studied guitar at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. During my four years in Cincinnati, I became particularly involved with the local music scene and was playing numerous gigs every week with different groups and various styles. It was during this time at the University of Cincinnati that I discovered my passion for recording music. After taking classes on music production at UC, I became as equally involved with recording and mixing as I was with playing the guitar. After receiving my degree from UC, I returned to Indianapolis to work at a recording studio on the north east side called The Pop Machine where I continue to do work.
It wasn’t long after I picked up the guitar before I started giving lessons. What started with friends and family soon became a regular occurrence. In early 2021, I became an instructor at Bach to Rock music school in Carmel Indiana, which is where I really locked in my teaching style and gained the confidence to start my own brand as a private teacher.
One of the best things about teaching is the great friends you make when you have music to instantly bond over. I’d love to get to know you and share more about my experience as a musician, engineer, teacher, and good friend.
